Visual identity begins with a feeling that draws you in. I create that identity through color and increasingly, through light.
Hi, I'm Camille Crosthwait, a design student who loves creating spaces that tell a story. My focus is on movie set design, theme park design, and commercial design, with game design as an ongoing side interest. What ties these together for me is the challenge of shaping environments that guide how people feel and move through interiors. Whether that's a film set, an attraction designed for repeat visits, or a video game, its meant to hold someone's attention. My interest in interior design started with video games. I designed a city in Terraria, and one of my builds reached over 2 million views. That experience got me hooked on thinking about how I could scale that, which eventually led me to interior design. I ended up applying that interest to my own apartment as well.
Lighting design has become a natural extension of that interest, since it shapes mood and depth in a space just as much as color does.
Outside of formal design work, I blow glass, which is experimental with how color and light behave together in three dimensions. I'm always looking to push these interests further, whether that's through a new project, an internship, or a collaboration and seeing how these fields overlap.
